How to block a number

How to temporarily block an inbound number from your extension 

Our function JEDWare Block Number allows you to block one or multiple numbers, that automatically will be unblocked again over time. You can block an incoming call to an extension for a shorter or longer period of your choice. This function is standard in 3CX, however, it requires 3CX Management access. Furthermore, you need to remember to remove this blocking again. With our JEDWare Block Number feature, we will unblock the number after a surden time for you.

First, you choose what extension to block → Then you type in the duration of time you want to block the number. The time is formatted hh:mm:ss – Choose between 1 minute to 23 hours 59 minutes → Click on Block.

You will see an overview of the current blocked numbers and when the blockings will expire. When the number is unblocked it will be logged automatically.

If you regret that you have blocked a specific number, just click Delete.

It is also possible to enable a fixed expiry time of the blocked number, e.g. 5 minutes or 30 minutes. You can find this in the Admin settings.
