What a user sees on the Dashboard is decided by their department role in 3CX. JEDWare reads the role from 3CX at every synchronization. You change access by changing the role in the 3CX admin console, not in JEDWare.
| 3CX role | Sees on the Dashboard |
|---|---|
| User, Receptionist | Their own calls only |
| Supervisor, Department Administrator | Their own calls, plus the departments where they hold that role |
| Manager, Owner, System Admin, System Owner | Every department in the system |
Seeing who is in a department
Being able to see a department’s numbers and being able to see its people are two separate rights. The per-agent breakdown and the member list are shown only when 3CX grants the viewer the “can see group members” right for that department. A supervisor without that right still sees the department’s totals, but not who handled what.
Changing someone’s access
- Open the 3CX admin console and edit the user’s role in the department.
- Wait for the next synchronization (up to ~5 hours), or click Sync with 3CX on the Admin settings page.
- The user’s Dashboard updates the next time they load it.
Roles not listed above (for example Observer) don’t grant any call visibility in JEDWare beyond the user’s own statistics.
