How Departments work in JEDWare
JEDWare uses the departments you have already set up in 3CX. There is nothing to configure twice: the departments, their members and everyone’s roles are
JEDWare reads 3CX departments straight from the phone system. The departments, their members and the role of each member (user, supervisor or administrator) come from the 3CX admin console and are applied in JEDWare automatically. Nothing is set up twice: rename a department, move an agent or promote someone to supervisor in 3CX, and JEDWare follows at the next sync, or right away when you click Sync with 3CX on the Admin settings page.
Roles decide what each person sees. A user sees their own statistics on the Dashboard. A department supervisor sees the whole department: the Dashboard totals, every member, and the reports for those agents. An administrator sees the complete phone system and can open any department. When a customer needs a supervisor to see more or less than 3CX suggests, the visible extensions and queues are adjusted per user role in Admin settings.
The Department page in the left menu gives supervisors a home of their own. It lists the members with their current status, shows the department’s statistics for the selected period, and holds the scheduled reports that belong to the department. A supervisor can create and edit scheduled PDF and CSV reports for their own department without having full administrator access, and every scheduled task shows who owns it.
The guides below explain how 3CX departments are mirrored in JEDWare, who can see what on the Dashboard and in the reports, and how the Department page and its scheduled reports work. The department features require JEDWare integration 26.9.1 or newer on the 3CX server.
