Connecting your login to your extension

For the Dashboard to show someone “Your stats,” JEDWare needs to know which extension belongs to their login. In most cases this happens automatically.

Automatic matching

JEDWare matches the email a user logs in with against the email addresses on your 3CX extensions. When exactly one extension carries that email, the user is connected to it, with no setup needed.

If the same email appears on several extensions, or on none, JEDWare connects nothing rather than guessing. An unconnected user doesn’t get a personal view, but everything else their role allows still works.

Setting the extension manually

Administrators can override the automatic match per user. This is useful for shared mailboxes or logins that don’t match the 3CX email:

1. Go to Admin settings and open the user list.
2. Edit the user and set the Dashboard extension field.
3. Save. The manual choice always wins over automatic matching; clearing the field returns the user to automatic matching.

Extension emails are maintained in 3CX. If automatic matching doesn’t work for anyone, check that your users’ email addresses are filled in on their 3CX extensions and that your integration is up to date.
